Dear friends, colleagues,
With great enthusiasm, on behalf of the Organising Committee, we would like to welcome you to the AgEng2024 which will be held in the conference facilities of the Agricultural University of Athens, in Athens, Greece, on 1-4 July 2024. We, the Hellenic Society of Agricultural Engineers, undertook the organisation of AgEng2024 with excitement and will have put together a very interesting conference where the participants will be able to exchange knowledge and ideas, to present innovations and discuss the state of the art and future perspectives for agricultural engineering towards the sustainable future of agriculture.

AgEng2024 provides an unmatched platform for exposure, drawing researchers, engineers, and industry representatives to participate in one of the most comprehensive technical conferences centred around Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering and its wide range of applications. The conference aims to foster strong collaboration between academia, agricultural organisations, research institutions, and industry, with the shared goal of advancing research and driving innovation in this field. To achieve this target, AgEng2024 will include a scientific program comprising plenary talks, special sessions, tutorials as well as oral and poster presentations.

These will of course happen in Athens, the city of myths, monuments, gods and ancient glory, which can offer unique experiences for the AgEng2024 delegates. We do believe that the aura of the Hellenic cultural heritage, housed in the numerous national and private museums including the Acropolis Museum, as well as the city’s vibrant modern culture, will have a positive effect on the enthusiasm of the delegates and thus enhance the participation and success of the Congress. Not to mention the more-than-three-thousand years long Greek agricultural and gastronomy tradition, which not only defined the modern Mediterranean Diet, but also developed over the centuries a globally appreciated cuisine of unparallel authenticity, diversity and tastiness; do not forget to make it an integral part of your travel experience.
