Special Sessions

Before the finalisation of the general programme, the Organising Committee is open to consider the inclusion of Special Sessions and Workshops on specific topics of relevance for Digital Earth. 

TECHNICAL SESSIONS

A technical session has a normal duration of 1h:30. A proposal for Technical Session should indicate:

• Scope and short description
• The primary contact for the organizing committee.
• Preferred session format (individual talks or a panel discussion)
• list of potential contributors and proposed topics and titles and short abstracts  of their talks (maximum 6)
• Proposed session co-chair(s)

WORKSHOPS/TUTORIALS

A workshop / tutorial may have different duration and can be organised the day before the opening of the Symposium or during the conference.    proposal for Workshop /Tutorial should indicate:

• Scope and short description
• The primary contact for the organizing committee.
• A preliminary workshop format and a proposed schedule (before the opening, during the symposium) for organizing the workshop, including the desired length for the workshop (1 hour, 2 hour, half day)
• List of potential contributors
• Estimation of the audience size.
• A tentative list of members (including full names and affiliations).

Expression of interest should be sent by March 31^st, and the Session Proposals by April 10^th. (The procedure is complete)
