Heraklion, Crete, June 12-17, 2022 Hybrid Format
The Cultural and Conference Center of Heraklion is a modern venue in Crete dedicated to performing arts and scientific meetings. After many years in the making, it made its official debut in 2019. It has been built near some important historical sites of the city of Heraklion, such as the remnants of the Venetian walls and the burial site of the Greek writer and Heraklion native Nikos Kazantzakis.
The conference site is a five-building complex that houses multiple facilities including:
The Andreas and Maria Kalokairinou Hall, the main auditorium; it can host various performances, such as operas and classical music concerts, as well as conferences and congresses. It has more than 700 seats available. It has been named after the Kalokairinou family, highly influential on the political and cultural life of Crete. (Building D)
The Seminar Room is fully equipped to support the organization of conferences, workshops, etc., with the ability to be divided into two sections of equal capacity. (Building C)
The Small Theater is a hall with over 100 seats. It has the ability to host conference workshops and seminars, as well as lectures and cinema screenings. (Building A)
Additional spaces include guest rooms, dressing rooms, test rooms, VIP rooms, a restaurant, ATM, shops, car parking spaces, etc.
