Sergio Durante (IT) has earned a laurea in musicology in Bologna and a PhD at Harvard. Professor of music aesthetics and criticism at the University of Pavia since 1987 and later in Padua (presently full professor of musicology). Member of the Mozart Academy in Salzburg since 2000 and of the Accademia galileiana in Padua since 2016. De Bosis Lecturer at Harvard University (2011). Over seventy publications in various languages mainly focused on eighteenth-century studies. Selected essays are collected in Studies on Mozart and the XVIII Century / Studi su Mozart e il Settecento (2007); facsimile edition of Mozart’s Clemenza di Tito (2008). Special interest in communication of musicological culture through video documentaries.
