Dinko Fabris (IT) received his PhD from the University of London, teaches music history at the Naples Conservatory of Music, and, since 2001, has lectured at the Università degli Studi della Basilicata in Matera. He serves on the scientific boards of several international journals and critical editions (including Opere di Francesco Cavalli and the New Gesualdo Edition). External professor in the doctoral program at the University of Leiden and principal fellow at the University of Melbourne, he serves as a music consultant to the Pontifical Council for Culture. His publications include Music in Seventeenth-Century Naples (2007), a book on Partenope (2016), and the critical edition of Francesco Cavalli’s Didone (in preparation). A member of the commission mixte of RILM and RISM, he was president of the IMS from 2012 to 2017.
