Prof. Avijit Banerjee, London, UK
Avijit is Professor of Cariology & Operative Dentistry, Faculty of Dentistry, Oral & Craniofacial Sciences (FoDOCS), King’s College London, UK and Hon. Consultant, Restorative Dentistry, Guy’s & St. Thomas’ Hospitals Foundation Trust, London, UK. He currently holds three international honorary chairs as well as being a member of the Board of Trustees of the UK Oral & Dental Research Trust (ODRT).He holds the following senior national executive professional positions in the UK

• Editor-in-Chief, British Dental Journal Portfolio (BDA & Springer Nature, 2024 - )In 2022, he was awarded the prestigious William H Bowen Caries Research Distinguished Scientist Award from the International Association of Dental Research (IADR) in recognition of his global scientific and clinical research impact in cariology & minimally invasive operative dentistry over the last 25 yrs.
In 2024, the UK British Dental Association bestowed upon him the John Tomes Medal, one of its most esteemed professional accolades, to honour his clinical academic and scientific services and achievements to the profession and the BDA.In his discipline of cariology & operative dentistry (minimum intervention oral care (MIOC) & minimally invasive dentistry (MID), biomaterials science, clinical trials and national / global policy), he has authored 5 internationally acclaimed textbooks (including “Pickard’s Guide” and now its successor, “A Clinical Guide to Advanced Minimum Intervention Restorative Dentistry”, Elsevier 2024), 13 book chapters, >180 peer-reviewed papers (H index 56, citations: 11,325 to date) and has supervised 50 doctorates & masters’ students.

Prof. Sotiria Gizani, Athens, Greece
Sotiria Gizani obtained her Dental Degree from the University of Thessaloniki and then completed her 6-year postgraduate studies in Paediatric Dentistry at the Catholic University of Leuven (KU Leuven, Belgium), including the degrees of Master in dental sciences and Doctorate (PhD). Since 1998, she has been working at the Department of Paediatric Dentistry in the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (Greece), where she is Professor and Chair of the Department as well as Director of the Postgraduate program, one of the eight EAPD accredited postgraduate programs in Europe. Dr Gizani is currently the Vice Dean of the School of Dentistry of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. She has been General Secretary of EAPD from 2018-2024 while recently she shas been elected as President Elect. Moreover, she has published more than 100 papers in peer-reviewed journals and received international awards while she is member of the Editorial Board of the Journal ‘European Archives of Paediatric Dentistry’, Journal of Clinical Pediatric Dentistry and ‘Oralprophylaxe & Kinderzahnheilkunde’ (Springer). Her research interests focus mainly on clinical trials regarding prevention and management of caries in young children and orthodontic patients, oral health care of patients with special needs and vulnerable children as well as communication and behavior management in the dental setting.
Prof. Norbert Kraemer, Giessen, Germany
Prof. Krämer obtained his PhD from the University of Erlangen in 1997. Between 2006 and 2009 he was the chair of the Department of Paediatric Dentistry in Dresden.In 2009 he was appointed to the Director of the Departement of Paediatric Dentistry at the University of Gießen. He was elected in different positions (2000-2004 President of the German Society of Paediatric Dentistry [GSPD], 2010–2012 President of the EAPD, 2015-2019 again President of the GSPD, 2017-2020 member of the Board of Directors of the IAPD, 2024 Board Member of the GSPD). Since 2016 he is chair of the Future Congress and Seminar Committee of the EAPD. He is in the Editorial Board of several peer-reviewed journals. He has published ca. 200 research papers/books/articles.
Prof. Ferranti Wong, London, UK
Professor Wong was born in Hong Kong, had his secondary education in Glasgow and graduated as a dentist in Dundee University in 1982. His interest in working with children developed during his first post as a community dental officer. He pursued his passion by gaining an MSc in Children’s Dentistry (with distinction) at the then LHMC. Ferranti continued his career as a clinical lecturer and completed his PhD on the use of a novel X-ray Microtomography technique at Barts and The London Dental School.He became Senior Lecturer / Honorary Consultant in Paediatric Dentistry in 1996 and was conferred as a Professor in 2010. He was an associate dean for the London Deanery in 2008-11, head of the Centre for Oral Growth & Development 2012-17 and became interim dean/director for Dentistry in 2017. He has many external roles including examiner for other schools/universities, SAB (PaedDent) chair for the Royal College of Edinburgh, Advisory Board member of Interdisciplinary Research Centre in Biomedical Materials, COMSATS Institute of Information Technology, Pakistan, and visiting professor of Magido University.
