Dr Stefania Croci is a Biotechnologist with a PhD in Oncology. She has 22 years of research experience. She has been trained at the University of Bologna (Italy) on cancer immunoprevention and mechanisms of cancer cell metastasis. She is actually working at the Azienda Unità Sanitaria Locale-IRCCS in Reggio Emilia (Italy) on immune-mediated diseases. She is mainly interested in giant cell arteritis, Takayasu arteritis and Behcet’s disease. Researches are focused on the identification of biomarkers for diagnosis and/or associated to disease activity and response to therapies. Moreover ongoing studies aim to increase the knowledge on novel pathogenic pathways to identify novel therapeutic targets. She has expertise in cell culture, flow cytometry, molecular biology including high throughput assays and protein profiling.
