Tony Fracasso studied medicine at the University of Genoa and was later resident at the Institute of legal medicine of the same town. From 2005 to 2010, he worked as scientific assistant at the Institute of legal medicine in Münster.
In 2010 he moved to Geneva, where he directed of the unit of forensic medicine at the University center of legal medicine Lausanne-Geneva. Since 2017 he is the head of the unit forensic medicine and imaging of the University center of legal medicine in Geneva and Lausanne.
His research activity is mainly focused on forensic pathology and histopathology.
He is lecturer at the faculties of medicine and law at the University of Geneva and Lausanne.
Tony Fracasso is vice - president of the Swiss society of legal medicine, and treasurer of the International academy of legal medicine.
