Due to unforeseen circumstances we will have to cancel the meeting planned for July 21-24, 2020 in Ioannina. Around the world, governments and organizations are canceling large public gatherings for fear of spreading the new coronavirus. Please know that we did not reach this decision lightly. We were ultimately guided by our responsibility to help ensure the safety and well-being of our members, guests, and surrounding community.

I would like to express my gratitude to the presidium of the International Academy of Legal Medicine and to the Hellenic Society of Forensic Medicine and Forensic Sciences for their valuable support and assistance in preparing this event.

I look forward to meeting you in one of the future IALM meetings that may be held in Greece.
